Annamo — Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. About Annamo

Annamo is developed and maintained by Ankk Studio ("we", "us"), which acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy. You can contact us at any time at ankkstudio@gmail.com.

2. How do we process your personal data?

Annamo is designed so that we never have access to the information you record about your baby.

2.1 Data stored on your device
By default, all information you record in Annamo — including your baby's name, date of birth, feeding, sleep, diaper, play and growth records, and notes — is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us. Backup files you export are not encrypted and are stored wherever you choose.

2.2 Household synchronisation
When your device creates or joins a household, all baby-related data is encrypted on your device before it is transmitted, and is stored on our server only in encrypted form. The household code (and its QR code) is the only means of decrypting this data; we do not hold it and cannot read your records. Anyone who obtains the household code can access the household's data, so please keep it confidential and share it only with caregivers you trust.
Processed data: encrypted records; random household and device identifiers; an anonymous account identifier; for each record, its timestamp, whether it was deleted and its size (the contents stay encrypted); and your IP address while your device is connected.
Legal basis: necessary to provide the synchronisation you requested.
Retention period: until all members have left the household, or 6 months after the last synchronisation, whichever occurs first; the data is then permanently deleted.

2.3 Monitoring (investigating and resolving issues, analysing and fixing crashes)
Processed data:
• Technical events leading up to an error
• Device data (device model, operating system, device language and time zone)
• Your IP address, which the provider sees when a report is sent
• Crash data (error details and stack traces)
• A random support ID — the first characters of your household's identifier, so a report can be matched to a support request you send us. It does not tell us who you are.
This data never includes the information you record about your baby or your household code.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (your interest in using the app without technical problems; our interest in keeping the app reliable and free of bugs).
Retention period: 30 days from receipt.
Crash reports are sent to servers in the European Union.

3. Who has access to your personal data?

We do not sell or share your personal data. We rely on a cloud hosting provider to store encrypted household data and on a crash-reporting provider for monitoring. Both act as data processors on our behalf. The hosting provider only ever receives encrypted data.

4. Children's data

Annamo is intended for parents and caregivers aged 18 or over, not for children. The records about your baby are entered by you; they stay on your device, or are end-to-end encrypted if you use household synchronisation. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

5. Your privacy rights

Your data is yours. You can export it or import it back whenever you like, and erase everything on your phone from Settings. To remove your synchronised copy, just leave the household: once the last member has left, the encrypted data is deleted automatically, usually within a day. You also have the right to access and correct your data (it is all in the app).

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the app or to legal requirements. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
